Can U Kindly Help Convey This?

Any idea what these are? They're called ChampionChips, or of course, Chips in short.

These chips are tied to runners' shoelaces in marathons or in other events for the timing mats to electronically detect the chips & record their run timings for each distance. Impressive technology.

Sorry, a blur close-up of an individual chip. Each barrel of the chip bears an unique chip code (eg, DW-4PZ2D) which electronically bears every runners particulars. The barrel must be facing outwards towards the direction of running as the mats can't detect displaced chips or chips that are merely put in your hands or pockets.

Unfortunately, I have around 4700++ more chips more to be collected. If any of you happen to know friends, family or relatives who participated in the Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon '07 & have not returned the chip after their run, could you please help to convey this msg?

The admin & equipment fee for unreturned an chip is 50 bucks. There are many cases where people shoddily place their chips in extremely thin envelopes & post them to us. These chips tend to move to da corner & burst out of the envelopes. If this happens, runners have to settle this with Singpost & pay us the fee at the same time.

Moral of da story? Wrap it carefully in a small piece of paper, seal it with scotch tape & put it in a more sturdier envelope. If not, put it back in the zip lock where your runner's number bib was provided with, put them in A4 envelope & mail it. Please be responsible for it.
People who refuse to pay the admin fee for lost/spoiled chips will be barred from future events.
Please mail the chips (attention to Anna) or come personally to:

For more details, do call the SSC office & look for me or email me with your contact number at ssc_sbd@ssc.gov.sg or provodkative@hotmail.com. Kindly do not add me in msn if you don't know me. You'll be pretty disappointed to know that I sooo seldom log in. Seriously.

Ergh. Enuff of marathon things already.
After this important notification it'll be back to ma usual :).

Thanks for your great help.
