Is There Such A Thing Called A Happy Blog?

Not really up for a long post tonight. Just that this thought suddenly crossed ma mind.

I was blog-hopping several people's blog and happened to notice that they don't seem to have any problems in their life at all, lol. All they write about was mostly about their outings, their so-called romantic boyfriends, shopping, girrrrliesss (eww) and of course, a little bitchin' here and there...

What actually is da purpose of having a blog?

Aite, I do understand that some pple do it just to share their daily ramblings & to show da little things they probably bought at a sale *rolls eyes*... and whatever. I also know that some of them don't write about their problems in their blogs (unless it's a private one). But thing is, do we really need to lie to people out there that we have 'happy' lives? U mean we shop everyday? Get to meet your boyfriends everyday? U even have time to take pics with ur girrrlies everyday? If ma life is even HALF as easy as that, I wouldn't even have to set up a blog, I think. LOL.

It's time to wake up & smell da smelly socks, people. A happy blog doesn't have to be full of pictures or romantic stories. A HAPPY blog is a healthy blog which is full of ups & downs. U actually may talk about ur sadness about something that happened to you, but u may not neccessarily need to specify what really went wrong, if it's too personal. Just talking about how u feel makes ur readers feel more closer to u. And reading ur blog will feel much more real to ur readers and not just reading about some boring trivial things.

Drop da pretence already dears... we all know da world ain't perfect & everyone has problems of their own :).

Yes, I'm bitchin'. But just a little bit. I hate pretentious people who try to promote their blog to me only for me to find that da contents are useless. I'm talking about da ah-lian lookalikes out there in Friendster who asked me to link them up to their stupid blogs. And continue to bug me about it. I'm like thinkin', ARE U FUCKING KIDDING ME? ME... link to YOUR blog??
